Responsibilities Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Execute route driving assignments with precision, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT standards. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle maintenance reports. Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate deliveries and resolve any route or delivery issues promptly. Ensure cargo is secured properly during transit to prevent damage or accidents. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks. Experience with various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks is highly desirable. Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or manual methods. Knowledge of route planning and navigation for efficient deliveries across multiple locations.
