This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a range of specialized trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. Your expertise in commercial driving will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers and various truck types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks across designated routes. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Deliver freight promptly while adhering to route schedules, traffic laws, and safety protocols. Secure cargo properly to prevent shifting or damage during transit, especially when handling specialized loads like refrigerated or tanker freight. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate effectively with dispatchers regarding delivery statuses, delays, or issues encountered on the road. Experience Valid CDL license with endorsements for specific truck types such as tanker or flatbed preferred. Proven experience in commercial driving, including route driving and delivery of freight in various truck configurations. Hands-on experience with manual transmission vehicles is advantageous. Familiarity with operating specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks is a plus. Prior experience in load & unload operations and handling different types of freight enhances effectiveness on the job.
