In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers to deliver freight across various routes, ensuring timely and secure deliveries. Your expertise in handling different types of trailers—including refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklift operations—will be essential in managing diverse cargo loads. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring cargo integrity and security. Transport a variety of freight including refrigerated goods, flatbed loads, tankers, and other specialized trailers with precision and care. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns. Manage route driving responsibilities with a focus on punctuality, route optimization, and customer satisfaction. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with federal and state regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Requirements Valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles involving freight handling and route driving. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks. Experience handling various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly preferred. Ability to load & unload freight using forklifts or other equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with trucking safety standards and regulations governing commercial driving. Strong physical stamina to perform load securement tasks and long hours on the road. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers, customers, and team members.
