In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely transporting freight, equipment, and materials to various destinations while ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in commercial driving and route management will keep our operations running smoothly and efficiently. Duties Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, and other commercial vehicles with manual transmissions. Drive assigned routes efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations while maintaining punctuality. Inspect vehicles regularly for maintenance needs, safety issues, and compliance with company policies. Ensure proper documentation of deliveries, pickups, and route logs; communicate any delays or issues promptly. Assist with securing cargo on different types of trailers to prevent damage during transit. Follow all safety protocols related to driving, cargo handling, and vehicle operation to promote a secure work environment. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record and two year, experience driving . Experience operating trucks with manual transmissions and various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds. Proven delivery driver experience with a focus on route driving. Familiarity with freight handling equipment including forklifts is a plus. Knowledge of safety regulations related to trucking and transportation industries. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Strong communication skills for coordinating deliveries and reporting issues effectively.
