Class A Driver JT Intermodal Commerce, CA Job Details Contract $1,400 - $1,900 a week 1 hour ago Qualifications Automobile transportation General freight transportation CDL A Truck freight Full Job Description We are seeking an experienced Class A CDL Driver for freight and intermodal transportation in Los Angeles County and surrounding areas. This is a 1099 independent contractor position. We provide the truck and freight; the driver is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting loads while maintaining a professional attitude and complying with all applicable regulations. The truck assigned to this position is a well-maintained 2020 Automatic Freightliner based in City of Commerce, CA. Pay - 45% of weekly gross freight revenue after fuel costs are deducted Paid weekly - 1099 Independent Contractor position Responsibilities Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle to transport freight and intermodal containers. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Pick up and deliver loads on schedule. Maintain accurate logs and required documentation. Communicate with dispatch regarding load status, delays, or equipment concerns. Follow all DOT, FMCSA, and safety regulations. Maintain a professional relationship with customers, warehouses, terminals, and port facilities. Requirements Valid Class A CDL. Minimum 2 years of verifiable Class A driving experience. Experience with freight transportation; intermodal experience preferred. Clean driving record preferred. Ability to safely back into docks and maneuver in warehouse and terminal environments. Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented. Work Area Routes may vary from local Los Angeles deliveries to surrounding Southern California counties depending on freight demand.
