Job Description

Concrete Mixer Truck Driver Our story Hanford Sand and Gravel, Inc. started with Preston and Iris Hanford Sr. in the late 1960's and for three generations the company has stood the test of time - here today - here tomorrow. With 50+ years serving our community in the greater Sacramento Valley, we are the region's premier family owned and operated Ready Mix supplier. We proudly run over 40 trucks daily from our three locations. Rest assured, Hanford Sand and Gravel takes the utmost pride in our ability to deliver quality product under strict tolerances with top-to-bottom dedication toward exceeding our customer's expectations. Job brief Hanford Sand & Gravel Inc. is seeking a reliable and experienced Concrete Mixer Truck Driver to transport freshly mixed concrete materials from the batch plant to customer sites and construction locations in a safe manner. The Mixer Driver will be responsible for making normal operating adjustments to materials being hauled and machinery. They should also have experience operating heavy equipment and be able to follow safety protocols. Responsibilities Transport materials to customer location and throughout delivery site safely and efficiently Evaluate slump, maintain truck in a safe and clean condition to minimize concrete buildup Follow company safety protocols and state and federal regulations Maintain accurate records of deliveries in accordance with Hanford standards Preform daily vehicle inspections (DVIR), pre-trip and post-trip inspections, timecards, routine maintenance on truck and equipment, and report larger issues to the maintenance department Communicate with dispatch and other team members regarding job parameters or specific directions Work shifts vary and may include overtime work Requirements and qualifications Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL) Airbrake and tank endorsements 4 to 7 years Mixer driving experience Clean driving record Experience operating heavy equipment (a plus) Saturday work is required unless requested off and approved Ability to follow safety protocols and regulations Excellent communication skills Physical ability to load and unload materials Working conditions Concrete Mixer Truck Drivers work outdoors in all weather conditions. They may be required to work long hours and weekends, depending on project deadlines. The job may also require working from elevated platforms, climbing ladders, and lifting and carrying heavy materials. This position requires attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, along with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling customer payment information.
