This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailer vans, refrigerated trailers, and more. As a vital link in our logistics chain, you'll ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. Your expertise in driving different types of commercial vehicles and handling diverse freight loads will keep our operations running smoothly and our customers satisfied. Duties Safely operate a range of commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, across regional routes. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations. Plan and follow optimized routes to meet delivery schedules while adhering to hours-of-service regulations. Handle various types of freight including refrigerated goods, Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and reports for each trip. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse teams, and customers to coordinate pickups and deliveries seamlessly. Experience Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on regional deliveries; previous delivery driver experience preferred. Skilled in operating manual transmission trucks with proficiency in handling different vehicle types such as tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and refrigerated trailers. Familiarity with freight handling equipment including forklifts and roll-off trucks is a plus. Knowledge of DOT regulations, safety procedures, load securement standards, and route planning. Ability to load & unload freight efficiently while ensuring cargo safety and compliance with weight limits. Strong driving record demonstrating safe driving habits over time. Experience working with various truck configurations like dump trucks or tanker trucks is advantageous.
