Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and more. Responsibilities Operate commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks in compliance with all traffic laws and regulations. Load and unload freight using forklifts or manual methods as necessary. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely delivery while adhering to delivery schedules. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other necessary documentation. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery status and any issues encountered on the road. Ensure that all cargo is secured properly before transport to prevent damage during transit. Qualifications Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Experience driving manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Familiarity with operating refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other specialized vehicles is a plus. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in commercial driving is highly desirable. Ability to load and unload freight efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Strong knowledge of route driving techniques and navigation skills. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
