The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers and dry van. This role involves delivering freight efficiently across designated routes while adhering to safety regulations and company policies. A strong focus on load & unload operations, route driving, and vehicle maintenance is essential to ensure timely deliveries and customer satisfaction. Duties Safely operate trucks with AUTO transmission Drive a variety of vehicles including refrigerated trailers AND dry van trailersfor freight delivery. Load and unload cargo efficiently at multiple locations, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight. Follow designated routes and schedules to meet delivery deadlines while maintaining safety standards. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with transportation regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and vehicle maintenance logs. Adhere to all federal, state, and local transportation laws and company policies during operations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery status or issues encountered on routes. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial driving operations. Ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently. Experience driving various truck types such as refrigerated trailers and dry vans Skilled in load & unload procedures with attention to cargo safety and security. Familiarity with route driving strategies for efficient deliveries across different terrains and location Strong knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations. Excellent driving record with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Physical ability to handle freight loads and perform vehicle inspections regularly.
