This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate a variety of heavy-duty trucks across long distances, delivering freight efficiently and safely. As a CDL A Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods on 53 feet Dry Van Trailers only. Your expertise in driving tractor-trailers and managing freight loads will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. If you thrive on adventure, enjoy route driving, and take pride in delivering exceptional service, this position is perfect for you! Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions across extensive OTR routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations Plan and follow efficient routes to optimize delivery times while complying with hours-of-service regulations Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking brakes, tires, lights, and load securement Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with federal and state regulations Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding route updates, delivery statuses, or any issues encountered during transit Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL A license and clean driving record Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently Experience driving refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is highly desirable Excellent route planning skills with an emphasis on safety and punctuality Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and perform vehicle inspections or freight handling tasks as needed Join our team to enjoy a rewarding career on the open road!
