You'll be responsible for transporting materials, equipment, and supplies between our warehouse, vendor locations, and active jobsites throughout California, Nevada, and Arizona, with occasional travel to other states. If you take pride in safe driving, proper cargo handling, and following the rules of the road, we want to hear from you. What You'll Do Drive stakebed trucks to and from jobsites, vendor facilities, and our warehouse Load and unload trucks safely using proper equipment and techniques Ensure all loads are secured and within legal weight limits before departure Follow all traffic laws including posted speed limits and safe following distances Stop at all CHP checkpoints and cooperate fully with weigh station and safety inspections Maintain accurate trip logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle inspection reports per DOT requirements Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any issues to the Operations Manager Coordinate with project managers and field crews on delivery schedules and material needs Keep the truck interior and bed clean and organized Operate in compliance with Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and maintain ELD records where applicable Requirements Valid CDL-A license — required Current DOT medical examiner's certificate (must pass and maintain DOT physical) Clean driving record — no major violations in the past 3 years Must be legally authorized to work in the United States Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening Working knowledge of FMCSA regulations, weight restrictions, and safe load securement Experience loading and transporting construction materials or similar cargo on flatbed or stakebed trucks Familiarity with CHP checkpoints, weigh stations, and inspection procedures Ability to use GPS navigation and plan efficient routes Able to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical loading/unloading tasks throughout the workday Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work with minimal supervision Preferred Qualifications Experience in construction or solar installation transport Familiarity with solar PV materials and equipment Forklift or pallet jack experience OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification Working Conditions Outdoor work in varying weather conditions Regular travel in CA, NV, and AZ; occasional multi-day out-of-state trips Schedule may vary; early start times and occasional weekend work possible
