The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods within the local area, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent driving skills, and the ability to handle various types of vehicles and loads. Duties Operate commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, roll-off trucks, and refrigerated trailers. Load and unload cargo efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs for hours of service and vehicle maintenance. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport. Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe driving practices at all times. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid driver's license. Familiarity with loading and unloading procedures, as well as operating forklifts when necessary. Experience driving various types of vehicles, including tanker trucks and refrigerated trailers. Strong understanding of safety regulations related to truck driving and cargo handling. Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
