Audio/Video Rentals Shop Driver / Assistant (Class-C) - LA

As a Driver with SoCal Rentals, you will be responsible for conducting deliveries and pickups of audiovisual (AV) gear. Your routes will cover the greater Los Angeles area as well as travel throughout Los Angeles and extend out of state to cities such as Las Vegas and Phoenix. Your duties will include maintaining and servicing all vehicles, including forklifts, ensuring compliance with DOT requirements, and keeping accurate logistics documentation. When not driving, you'll also assist with daily warehouse operations, contributing to a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will be available to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed in addition to the weekly schedule. Duties and Responsibilities:

Weekly same day transfers to/from Los Angels and Las Vegas. Occasional overnight travel may be required. Perform on time deliveries and pick-ups of audio/video gear. Ensure all documentation is completed at the time of delivery/pick-up, including obtaining signatures. Load and unload vehicles in a safe and organized manner. Maintain scheduled maintenance and upkeep of all vehicles, including forklifts. Perform pre-trip and safety inspections daily and maintain logs on equipment. Comply with all applicable laws/regulations, as well as company policies/procedures. Schedule and maintain BIT, DOT, and other similar inspections and reports. When not driving, support the Operations department by helping organize and clean the warehouse and gear. Perform general tasks such as cleaning and wrapping cable, cleaning cases, QC various types of AV gear, and assist with outbound and inbound orders. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

Must possess an active California Class-C driver license. 2 years minimum safely driving box trucks (up to 26') and cargo vans. Experienced in Interstate driving. (crossing state lines and what is required) 1 year minimum of working in an active rental house environment. Able meet all DOT requirements including physical and drug screening. High School Diploma or GED General understanding of audio and video equipment High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Strong communication skills across email, phone, and verbal interactions, with the ability to communicate clearly, professionally, and effectively in all situations. Able to utilize a smart device to communicate with others along with specific app related to dispatch, hours of service, and payroll. Experience loading and unloading trucks, operating lift gates, and properly securing loads. Flexible schedule to accommodate overtime, including nights and weekends as needed.

Monday - Friday | 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Hours subject to shift adjustments as needed) Participation in the on-call rotation is required. Additional hours such as overtime, weekends, and occasional holidays are based on the needs of the business.
