Hourly Apply Description Summary:

This position is responsible for the safe operation and transfer of fruit and bins from all Mariani Plants, Growers, and other facilities. Responsible for the SAFE operation of their assigned vehicle, obey all DOT and traffic regulations. Responsible for the care and appearance of the vehicle. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements:

Must possess a valid Class A Driver's License Must be able to pass a Drug and Alcohol test and DOT physical Must be a self-starter and motivated Must show leadership ability Must be able to think on their feet Must be able to read and write in English Must be able to work under a timeline and meet that timeline Ability to keep focus under stressful situations Must be trained in the nature and properties of Sanitation chemicals Must set an example for company values Accountability # 1•

OPERATIONS:

(80% ) Performs daily inspection of vehicle and trailers prior to driving Responsible for ensuring safe working conditions and safe work practices Must be familiar with safe vehicle operations Maintain Daily Logbook Performs proper cleaning of vehicle and trailers Supplies NC Fruit to the production facilities Returns empty bins to the proper storage location Collects and organizes the bin tags for proper reporting for manifest Must be licensed to operate the vehicle May be required to lift to 50 pounds on an occasional basis Accountability # 2•

Communications:

(5%) Informs Supervisor and appropriate production department of known or anticipated problems and recommends corrective action Ensures clear and timely communication to maximize quality, productivity and minimize down time Work under the philosophy of: One cross-functional
