Night Sprayer - Ag Tractor Driver

Modesto, CA Job Details Full-time $20 - $30 an hour 5 days ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Ratto Bros, Inc is seeking a night time tractor driver. This position will operate a John Deere tractor and spray pesticides on vegetable crops to control insects, diseases, and other pests. Night shift. 5-6 days a week, typically 8-10 hours.
Shift:
Sunday - Thurs Responsibilities (including but not limited to): Spraying vegetable crops using the correct type and quantity of pesticide. Drive a tractor and trailer tank safely on a daily basis. Fill spray tanks with correct chemicals. Change/remove the pesticide signs from the fields. Dispose of the empty chemical containers in a safe and proper manner. Wash tractors and equipment and fill out forms. The tractor driver should have basic understanding of working around vegetable crops and be willing to do other farm related work as needed. Other duties as assigned. A full job description available upon request.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required 1 - 3 years of recent pesticide application experience. 1 - 3 years of recent tractor driver experience. Forklift experience preferred. Ability to communicate effectively. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. Ability to work full agricultural schedule. Knowledge in pesticides preferred. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide all units of measure using whole numbers, percentages, and fractions. Ability to understand Safety Data Sheets (SDS). This position is full time.
