Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Drive route schedules efficiently while managing delivery timelines for freight. Load and unload, ensuring secure and damage-free transportation. Secure loads on flatbeds with proper tie-downs, tarps, and safety measures to prevent shifting during transit. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck, trailer, and equipment to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and inspection reports in compliance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating manual transmission trucks required. Proven truck driving experience with a focus on flatbed loads, route driving, or freight delivery. Experience in load & unload operations. Knowledge of safety protocols related to commercial driving including DOT regulations and load securing standards.
