JOB TITLE
Truck Driver

Transportation SUMMARY :
This position is for a CDL driver. No overnights required. Work schedule is Monday-Friday. Daily driving requirements up to 14 hours with 10 hours off.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
To safely operate a Truck and comply with all DOT regulations. Efficiently manage daily work schedule to ensure on-time deliveries and load appointments while working within the confines of hours of service. Maintain accurate log book and load paperwork. Effectively secure all loads. Ability to throw and tighten straps multiple times per shift. Ability to work and drive safely in all weather conditions and during daylight and dark (early morning / early evening) hours. Manage COD payments
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required. EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
Must have a current class "B" CDL. Clean driving record. 2-5 years of heavy haul, local or long haul driving experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Command of English language is a must. Ability to read, write and speak effectively
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication and division Basic knowledge of weight and balance
