Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks, including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers, to deliver materials and equipment efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in heavy lifting, load and unload procedures, and mechanical knowledge will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics operations, supporting the seamless movement of goods and materials. Duties Safely operate a variety of commercial trucks such as front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers to transport goods to multiple locations. Load and unload cargo using appropriate techniques and equipment, ensuring secure handling of materials. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify mechanical issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations. Perform heavy lifting tasks manually or with mechanical assistance to load or unload heavy items efficiently. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and vehicle inspection records in accordance with company policies. Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols during transit to prevent accidents and ensure timely deliveries. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for operating heavy trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, or tractor-trailers. Proven experience in commercial driving and delivery operations, preferably with experience handling various truck types including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, and flatbed trucks. Mechanical knowledge of truck systems for routine maintenance checks and troubleshooting minor issues. Ability to perform manual lifting of heavy loads safely and efficiently. Familiarity with load & unload procedures using mechanical equipment or manual techniques. Strong driving skills with a clean driving record; experience with manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
