Job Description
Job Summary We are expanding our team!! Employee will be based at the fabrication shop in Petaluma. Driver will make deliveries/pick up materials to/from job sites/vendors throughout the bay area, as needed. When not driving employee will work alongside welders in the fabrication shop on various projects, as assigned. Applicants must reside within 35 miles of the shop location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Driver
- Loading and safely transporting and delivering items to job sites/vendors
- Review orders before and after delivery to ensure accuracy of product
- Maintain communication with shop workers so they are clear on your whereabouts and when you are expected to return.
- Follow delivery routes and time schedules provided by Shop Foreman/Management
- Utilize company software as directed
- Manage time and schedule efficiently
- Communicate with recipients of products to ensure building access and delivery is possible
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Ensure all tools are in good working order before delivering to field crews
- Develop and maintain good relationships to ensure a positive representation of the company
- Ensure all company property remains in good working order and is charged when necessary
- Place all vehicle keys in key box before leaving for the day
- Lock up all trucks whenever leaving them unattended and ensure electronics and valuables are out of view
- Strap down all materials ensuring no movement while driving
- Email Vehicle Safety Checklist to main office everyday truck(s) are driven
- Enter odometer reading when filling truck(s) with fuel
- Obtain a P.O. number and authorization from main office for purchases made on company credit cards
- Collect and turn in all receipts/delivery tags/purchase orders
- Arrive to work on time and with a good attitude
- Other duties, as assigned Shop Laborer
- Ability to use hand torches
- Aptitude to learn welding skills
- Knowledge of shop tools
- Follow instructions/directions from Shop Foreman/Management
- Use all safety equipment at all times, as instructed
- Double check your work for accuracy
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs.
