GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The role of the Truck Driver encompasses the management of the drop trailer program. This entails efficiently executing the drop and hook process for trailers, as well as facilitating the seamless movement of products from the shipping area to the yard as required. Additionally, a key responsibility of this position involves ensuring the proper maintenance of diesel levels across all trailers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Safely load and unload trucks containing pallets, bins and equipment. Safely drive and deliver product at all assigned locations. Position is onsite, no public road driving required. Comply with all state, federal laws and GTI company policies and procedures regulating the operation of vehicles and equipment. Maintain knowledge of and comply with all Department of Transportation rules regulating drive time, rest breaks. Must work weekends when necessary. Perform any other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND /OR EXPIERENCE

1+ year of Class A driving experience Valid California license with good DMV driving record Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred, but not required Drivers must be able to move up to 50 lbs. and perform vigorous physical activity for sustained periods of time. Lifting, pushing, bending, stretching, stooping are all part of the loading and unloading process.
