Ready-Mix Concrete is a small business in Santa Rosa, CA. We are fast-paced, supportive and fun. Our goal is to provide a variety of ready-mix concrete products for residential and commercial clients throughout Sonoma County and parts of Napa and Marin Counties. The family-owned and operated company uses a computerized batching system and provides ready-mix concrete for all types of building projects, from backyard patios to entire shopping centers. We are looking for a driver to transport ready-mix concrete to our clients in a safe and timely manner. The right candidate will have a background in safe driving, strong communication skills, and an interest in working in a team-oriented environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the trucking industry and be able to maintain all required paperwork throughout their employment. If you do not have prior experience, we are willing to train for the job.

Requirements:

Must possess a commercial driver's license in the state of California. Class B license at minimum. Must have Tank and Airbrakes Endorsements. Must have clean and safe driving record. Must be able to work overtime, night pours, and Saturdays when required, depending on customer and company demand.

Responsibilities:

Maintain good communication with the dispatcher and co-workers. Safe driving on rough terrain and in all types of weather conditions. Ability to safely maneuver truck on job sites including tight spots and safe backing. Maintain vehicle by cleaning truck on a regular basis. Ability to climb a ladder repeatedly throughout the day to inspect loads and wash down. Ability to hang mixer chutes and able to lift up to 50 pounds. Properly evaluate concrete slump and yardage. Complete vehicle inspections and help with minor vehicle maintenance. Maintain paperwork related to pre-trip and post-trip inspections. Track time on jobs and calculate truck tag totals. Be able to work under pressure. Adhere to defensive and safe driving practices. Schedule time off in advance for rest and personal time.
