Overview The Seasonal Class A Truck Driver transports harvested crops (e.g. tomatoes, peppers, walnuts, etc.) from the field to the processing facility. The role involves high-volume, short-haul routes. Seasonal harvests frequently run 24 hours a day. Drivers often log 10 to 12-hour shifts, 6 to 7 days per week. Duties Safely drive and maneuver semi-trucks, with double trailers, between agricultural fields, packing sheds, and processing facilities Secure and un-tie loads, remove v-boards, and assist with tarping/un-tarping upon delivery Perform mandatory pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections, use required E-log devices, and report mechanical issues Transport loaded trailers or agricultural equipment within localized farm sites or between nearby company yards Deliver goods efficiently to various destinations while providing excellent customer service and professionalism. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL). Skilled in operating manual 10-speed transmission vehicles with confidence and precision. Knowledge of route driving strategies to optimize delivery times while maintaining safety standards. Ability to perform vehicle inspections diligently and address maintenance issues proactively. Requirements and Qualifications Valid Class A Commercial Driver's Licence with Doubles/Triples Endorsement Current medical Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and comfortably operate manual transmissions in heavy, continuous shifts Hearing sufficient to satisfactorily hear conversations and voice communication through a two-way radio, including through the use of hearing aids or other assistive devices Ability to effectively speak in an understandable voice Hand and finger dexterity to use electronic communications equipment Ability to sit for extended periods of time Visit our website at https://www.panellatrucking.
