Job Description

FULL-TIME POSITION IN TEHACHAPI WORK SCHEDULE
TUESDAY- STAURDAY 8:30AM - 3:30PM
BENEFITS

RETIREMENT PLAN, MEDICAL DENTAL & VISION INSURANCE FULLY PAID BY EMPLOYER SUMMARY
The Corpsmember supports projects at various sites located throughout Kern County and various California regions. This position is geared to develop hands-on job skills with the completion of contracted projects. The Corpsmember must be actively enrolled in an approved educational program in tandem with this role. This position is an on the job training program for one (1) year, with possibility of an extension for an additional year if requested and approved by KSACC management.
NOTE:
Failure to request a written extension to KSACC management may result in separation from the program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to the following. Other related duties and responsibilities may be assigned. Collecting and sorting of CRV containers Collection of electronic waste Pickup and recycling of tires Community outreach and education on oil, CRV, electronic waste by passing out fliers, etc. Roadside cleaning Removal of litter and debris Landscape maintenance Removal of weeds and overgrowth Environmental restoration

EDUCATION
Must be enrolled in an approved educational program (high school, college, university, career technical, trade school, vocational school, ect.) or willing to enroll Must be attending class on a regular basis
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
No work experience required
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES
Valid CA Drivers License preferred, but not required
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to travel as needed/required Must have reliable transportation
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Basic reading and writing skills Ability to respond to common inquiries or concerns from customers, employees/coworkers, supervisors, management, and other personnel
WORK ENVIRONMENT

Operating a forklift. Working around machinery having moving parts and vehicles. Working along highways and fast moving vehicles. Regular exposure to fumes (including fumes from vehicle and equipment operation), dust, gasses, and odors. Exposure to cleaning agents, chemicals, skin irritants, and electric shock.
