In this vital role, you will operate a tow truck equipped with a flatbed and other specialized equipment to assist stranded or disabled vehicles. Your expertise in automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and customer service will ensure efficient, safe, and professional roadside assistance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to combine driving skills with mechanical aptitude while providing essential services to our community. Responsibilities Safely operate a CDL A tow truck, including flatbed model, to recover and transport vehicles in various conditions. Load, secure, and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as winches and straps, when necessary. Perform basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best recovery approach. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, explaining procedures, and ensuring a positive experience. Manage conflict situations professionally, resolving issues calmly and efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Conduct routine inspections of tow truck equipment and vehicle systems to ensure operational readiness and compliance with safety regulations. Maintain accurate logs of all recoveries, loads, unloads, and service reports for record-keeping purposes. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record is required. Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbed models. Mechanical experience or background in automotive repair is highly desirable. Prior customer service experience in roadside assistance or related fields is a plus. Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently using appropriate tools or manual equipment. Strong conflict management skills coupled with excellent driving skills are essential for success in this role.
