Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across assigned routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Transport goods via various trailer types including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) standards. Plan routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while optimizing fuel efficiency. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate proactively with dispatch teams regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or any issues encountered during trips. Requirements Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery route driving and freight handling. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently. Experience with specialized trucks such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, or roll-off trucks is preferred. Knowledge of load & unload procedures and safety protocols for various freight types. Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus for loading/unloading cargo.
