Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable CDL Driver to join our dynamic transportation team! As a CDL Driver, you will be the vital link in delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. Your expertise in truck driving, load management, and vehicle operation will ensure timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills, work with a dedicated team, and contribute to our commitment to exceptional service. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers, across various routes to deliver freight promptly and accurately Load and unload cargo using proper techniques, ensuring the integrity of trailers, flatbeds, and other specialized equipment Load and unload construction equipment onto flatbed trailers. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles, checking for mechanical issues and safety compliance Manage route driving efficiently, adhering to schedules and traffic regulations while optimizing delivery times Handle freight securely during transport, including roll-off trucks, dump trucks, and other specialty vehicles Maintain accurate documentation of deliveries, pickups, mileage logs, and delivery receipts Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly Skills Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route management responsibilities Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and specialized vehicles such as trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures for load & unload operations Ability to drive safely for extended periods while maintaining focus on road safety standards Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus for loading/unloading cargo at facilities Excellent route planning skills to ensure timely deliveries and efficient use of resources Clear understanding of commercial driving regulations and safety protocols related to tractor-trailer operations Must be able to pass a drug test Must be skilled in the use of binders and chains for proper securing of cargo to the trailer.
