In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various types of trucks to deliver freight efficiently and on time. Your expertise in commercial driving, route management, and vehicle handling will ensure smooth logistics operations. Duties Safely operate trucks with manual transmissions, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized vehicles. Load and unload freight accurately, ensuring proper handling of different cargo types such as refrigerated goods, bulk materials, or heavy equipment. Drive assigned routes efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle condition in compliance with regulatory requirements. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Assist with forklift operation when necessary for loading or unloading cargo at warehouses or distribution centers. Qualifications Proven experience in truck driving, including delivery driver roles with route driving responsibilities. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record. Proficiency in operating manual transmission trucks and familiarity with various vehicle types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Experience handling freight that requires load & unload procedures using forklifts or other equipment. Knowledge of safety protocols related to trucking operations and cargo handling. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for documentation and compliance purposes.
