SUMMARY The local Delivery Driver ensures that the customer's product is safely delivered on time and in excellent condition.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Load and unload trucks for delivery of premium window and door products throughout the Colorado Springs area and the Southern part of the state of Colorado. Tailgate unload shipments at job sites; includes quality control and inspection of product upon receipt. Reconciling and loading outbound shipments using scanners for inventory and logistical controls. Collection of CODs when needed. Perform daily inspection of assigned vehicle & document in accordance with DOT regulations. Provide exceptional customer service to our customers. Other duties as assigned. High School Graduate or GED. Previous experience in delivery preferred. CDL class B required . Excellent verbal and communication skills, the ability to effectively communicate with customers that may be confrontational, diplomacy in working with both internal and external constituencies. Ability to problem solve and think outside of the box. Is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to utilize heavy equipment to move objects exceeding 400 lbs. The employee will frequently encounter heavy lifting. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus. Is driving and sitting for long periods of time. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions, including mountain driving and driving in inclement weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
