larimer.gov/solidwaste . What you'll be doing: Transport solid waste and recyclable/diverted materials from transfer stations to landfill sites and regional end markets. Secure loads in compliance with DOT safety regulations, including manually deploying, rolling, and securing tarps during loading and unloading. Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on trucks and trailers, documenting and reporting any mechanical or safety concerns. Fuel, grease, and clean trucks daily to support safe and efficient operations. Ensure waste loads are properly secured and comply with weight regulations and safety standards. Complete daily driver logs, trip sheets, scale tickets, inspection forms, and other required documentation accurately and on time. Follow established haul schedules, assigned routes, weight limits, and all traffic laws. Proficiency in routine software and business applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, databases, and virtual meeting/collaboration platforms. Ability to read, understand, and follow department and County rules, regulations, policies, and standard operating procedures.
