Welcome to Colorado Portables! as we are rapidly growing we are looking to add a Lead Driver to our team. The Lead Driver will pick-up/deliver units as well as cover a route when necessary to clean and maintain port-a-potties, hand-wash, hand sanitizer, etc. stations, coordinate satellite location teams, and ensure customer satisfaction. This role is highly operational and field-based, requiring a hands-on employee who is mechanically inclined, a fast learner, and comfortable working directly in the field alongside drivers and operations teams. The Lead Driver will also assist with installation and removal of PMO systems and help train team members on proper processes and equipment use. Bilingual communication skills are required for this position. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, as this role regularly communicates with drivers, leadership, and customers. Plumbing experience is strongly preferred. Duties/Responsibilities Reviews/supports the schedules and activities of staff ensuring safety & customer needs are met, filling in on portable toilet routes and handling all dumpster/trailer orders. Completes an efficient delivery and pick-up route for the day, adapting route as business conditions change. Loads delivery vehicle with units/equipment scheduled for delivery. Picks up units along the scheduled route, delivers replacements, completes dump runs, and transports company orders or equipment as requested for efficiency. Delivers to correct addresses, obtaining signatures, payment, and proof of receipt when necessary. Flushes, empties, and cleans units; performs other services required to maintain or repair units, tanks, and systems. Cleans and disinfects areas affected by sewage. Assists with installation, removal, maintenance, and troubleshooting of PMO systems. Learns PMO systems and operational processes well enough to assist with training other employees on proper procedures and equipment handling. Meets all safety standards by abiding by transportation laws, company policies, and maintaining a safe driving record. Ensures safety standards are achieved in partnership with the GM through assisting with reviews, coaching, and enforcement. Educates new team members on safety standards, performance expectations, safe machinery operation, and field procedures. Provides recommendations for improving workplace safety and operational efficiency. Ensures all vehicles receive basic service according to maintenance schedules; reports larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor. Assists in general yard and maintenance duties when route work is completed. Requests and/or orders necessary supplies and equipment. Plans and recommends timetables to complete repairs and maintenance. Test drives vehicles to confirm safe and proper operation. Works with other job sites to inspect vehicles and help maintain fleet condition. Updates maps and assigned routes, providing feedback to routing teams. Maintains and develops positive relationships with existing and prospective clients while delivering excellent customer service. Communicates effectively with drivers, management, and customers regarding operational needs, service issues, and scheduling updates. Weekend, evening, and on-call hours may be required. Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Bilingual communication skills required. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Mechanically inclined with the ability to learn equipment and operational systems quickly. Plumbing experience strongly preferred. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Thorough understanding of equipment, units, trucks, and repair processes. Ability to safely and effectively operate all tools and equipment. Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, web-based routing software, and/or physical maps. Ability to follow and communicate directions and procedures with limited supervision. Ability to communicate effectively with dispatch, team members, customers, and leadership. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, field-based environment. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent required. Vocational/technical school program or apprenticeship in auto repair, plumbing, mechanical maintenance, or related field preferred. Two years of related experience preferred. Proficient in office & financial software, route logistics software, or similar systems with the ability to learn and implement new online and logistics tools. Vallid License Physical Requirements Must be able to bend, stretch, kneel, and squat to perform repairs and inspections. Must be able to lift 75 pounds at times. Must be able to work safely in a noisy environment with exposure to odors and outdoor conditions.BENEFITS
