Commercial Driver

Position Overview Rico Sun Tours (RST) is seeking responsible and service-oriented Commercial Drivers to support our transportation and destination service operations. The Commercial Driver is responsible for the safe, punctual, and professional execution of transportation services assigned by the Operations Department. This role requires strict adherence to safety standards, operational protocols, and client service expectations. As a frontline representative of RST, the Commercial Driver directly impacts guest satisfaction, client confidence, and company reputation. The position requires operational discipline, strong situational awareness, and a hospitality-focused mindset. We are seeking candidates who demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and a strong commitment to safety and customer service. Key Responsibilities Operate commercial vehicles safely and in full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies Execute airport transfers, cruise services, hotel transfers, tours, and group transportation assignments Perform and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Maintain schedule integrity and communicate proactively with the Operations Department regarding delays or service adjustments Ensure safe loading and unloading of passenger luggage and equipment (up to 50 lbs.) Maintain professional grooming standards and full uniform compliance Uphold RST's service standards by ensuring respectful and courteous guest interactions Protect company assets by maintaining vehicle cleanliness and reporting maintenance concerns promptly Follow all safety, security, and emergency response protocols Basic Qualifications Minimum 21 years of age High school diploma or equivalent Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish Valid Puerto Rico Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate class endorsement(s) and compliance with applicable federal and local commercial driving regulations Clean driving record (no major infractions; no more than three (3) minor infractions within the past three (3) years; and no alcohol- or drug-related violations within the past five (5) years) Strong communication skills in high-traffic or time-sensitive environments Demonstrated ability to manage unexpected operational changes professionally Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting and handling items up to 50 lbs., with or without reasonable accommodation Flexible schedule, including 3rd shift, weekends, and holidays Preferred Qualifications Minimum one (1) year of commercial driving experience Experience in transportation services within hospitality, tourism, airline, or cruise operations Familiarity with Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport (LMM), cruise ports, and major hotel zones Experience managing group or corporate transportation services Defensive driving certification (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation Salary Range:

$12-15 per hour (commensurate with experience and qualifications)
