In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles or frieght across various routes, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks and handling diverse cargo will keep our supply chain moving smoothly. Duties Operate a variety of trucks including tractor-trailers. Drive across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe delivery of freight. Load and unload cargo efficiently using forklift or manual handling techniques when necessary. Prepare accurate delivery documentation, including logs, route sheets, and inspection reports. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before hitting the road. Maintain communication with dispatchers regarding delivery schedules, route changes, or unforeseen delays. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local transportation regulations for commercial driving. Skills Proven experience as a professional truck driver with a strong background in vehicle transport and freight delivery and route driving. Skilled in operating automatic or manual transmission trucks and various specialized vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Knowledge of load securing techniques to ensure cargo safety during transit. Ability to handle freight efficiently while maintaining safety standards during load & unload processes.
