In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating various trucks and heavy-duty vehicles to transport materials, equipment, and goods efficiently across designated routes. Your expertise in driving different types of trucks, combined with your mechanical knowledge and commitment to safety, will ensure timely deliveries and excellent service. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a vital part of our logistics operations while maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety. Responsibilities Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles including front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques, ensuring secure handling of materials. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance with regulations. Drive in adherence to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures across diverse routes and terrains. Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance reports. Collaborate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate delivery schedules and address any logistical challenges promptly. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving with a valid CDL license. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy-duty trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, front loaders, rear loaders, roll-off trucks, and tractor-trailers. Proficiency in operating manual transmission vehicles. Strong ability to load & unload cargo efficiently while ensuring safety standards are met. Experience with heavy lifting tasks using appropriate equipment or manual techniques. Familiarity with different truck types including roll-off trucks and dump trucks for specialized deliveries. Excellent driving skills combined with a focus on safety, compliance, and customer service.
