Full Job Description Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting heavy equipment and construction materials to various destinations in a safe and timely manner. This position requires a valid commercial driver's license (CDL) and experience with different types of trucks and trailers.Duties:
- Safely operate a variety of trucks, including tag along trailers, tri-axels, tractor-trailers, roll-off trucks, and low boys.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure it properly
- Plan routes and ensure on-time delivery of materials
- Inspect vehicles before and after each trip, reporting any maintenance or repair needs
- Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and safety standards
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and other relevant information
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members
Experience:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a truck driver or delivery driver
- Familiarity with various types of trucks and trailers (tri-axels, trailers, roll-off trucks)
- Ability to operate a loader is a plus
- Strong knowledge of route planning and navigation systems
- Excellent time management skills and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
