We are looking to add a
FOOD TRUCK & DELIVERY DRIVER
to our team, who will be based at our main location on Bladensburg Rd NE in Washington, D.C. Driver applicants must have a
CLEAN DRIVING RECORD.
Position:
Food Truck & Delivery Driver Responsibilities:
Provide outstanding customer service promptly on time to customers Inspect vehicles for mechanical and electrical defects before and after each trip Perform routine maintenance on the truck Ensure the vehicle has fuel, propane, and all necessary food items Comply with state and federal truck driving rules and regulations as well as with RR policies and procedures Follow sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment Make sure all paper works are completed at every stage of transportation (before and after delivery) Arrive at the event/destination promptly Ensure hot and cold food items are kept in compliance with company standards and meet all sanitary and safety requirements Report damage and technical problems immediately Make sure each defect and damage get proper attention and is taken care of by responsible staff Maintain knowledge of all menu options Purchase and distribute items to all branches of the restaurant as ordered by the management Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Clean driving record High school diploma or equivalent qualification Minimum one-year experience in the restaurant /hospitality industry Food service certifications preferred Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.) Ability to drive safely and efficiently Valid driving license Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Proven experience in a customer service role is an advantage Previous cash handling and customer service experience Basic computer and POS system skills are preferred Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods, driving, standing, and working on cash register or related equipment Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive movements over long periods of time
