OTR DRUCK DRIVER

Duties Safely operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks to load and unload freight at various warehouse locations. Conduct thorough inspections of trucks and equipment before and after trips, performing basic repairs or notifying maintenance teams for mechanical issues. Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying shipment details, ensuring accurate order picking, and maintaining proper documentation within the warehouse management system. Handle materials with care, utilizing appropriate lifting techniques for heavy lifting tasks, ensuring safety and efficiency during loading and unloading operations. Coordinate with warehouse supervisors to optimize warehouse distribution processes, improve materials handling workflows, and maintain high safety standards in compliance with OSHA regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, shipments, and equipment usage; assist in inventory management and order picking activities as needed. Support warehouse operations by operating equipment such as clamp trucks, reach trucks, and forklifts to facilitate efficient warehouse distribution. Experience Proven experience operating heavy equipment including forklift, reach truck, clamp truck, Hi-Lo, or similar machinery in a warehouse or distribution environment. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), shipping & receiving procedures, and materials handling best practices. Mechanical knowledge for basic equipment repair and troubleshooting to minimize downtime during operations. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety protocols. Prior experience in order picker roles or warehouse supervisor positions is highly desirable. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for inventory counts and shipment documentation.
