Appliance Installer- Fireplaces (Georgetown)

Schagrin Home Comfort Products is a 4th generation family-owned local business specializing in propane delivery and the installation and service of gas appliances including standby generators, gas logs and fireplaces, and other comfort and convenience products. Objective To deliver and install Schagrin Home Comfort Products equipment and merchandise for residential and commercial customers in a safe and professional manner. Essential Functions Perform installation of appliances (fireplaces, generators, water heaters, outdoor kitchens, etc.) Perform installation of propane gas piping systems, cylinders, etc. as needed. Perform start-up of gas appliances and check for gas leaks. Maintain records of all work performed and materials used. Operate Schagrin Home Comfort Products vehicles & equipment in a safe and professional manner. Maintain equipment and vehicles in excellent condition by performing necessary maintenance (check fluid levels, etc). Required to deliver and/or pick up equipment, etc. from other Schagrin Home Comfort Products locations as needed. Check with Dispatch before leaving any location for additional instructions or work assignments. Report any problems at the time of the service call to Supervisor. Represents Schagrin Home Comfort Products in a professional and courteous manner. Schedule Requirements Available to work between 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. May be required to be "on-call" on a rotating basis once trained. Must be readily available while on-call. Available by phone, text, or email during after-hours and weekends. Minimum Qualifications Must have a valid driver's license, in good standing. Class B CDL with an X endorsement is preferred but not required. Must comply with Schagrin Home Comfort Products and DOT drug and alcohol testing policy. General knowledge of how to start gas appliances and check for gas leaks. Mechanical aptitude and good problem-solving abilities. Capable of operating various hand, power tools and other equipment. Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions in English. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds minimum. Ability to bend, stoop, twist, and move freely in the performance of the position; the environment is inside and outside in all kinds of weather. Job requires working at heights using ladders or platforms, as well as working in crawlspaces, roofs, and small areas. Capable of handling a work environment that is indoors and outdoors in all types of weather. Physical Demands/Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and stand and walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
