Job Description
SummaryResponsibilities include but are not limited to: moving and spotting trailers from cooling shed and other areas to the receiving line or in shipping areas; move offal trailers when needed; keep the area clean; perform checklist daily on tractor.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesSupports Allen Harims mission, vision and valuesOperate Yard Truck in a safe manner during numerous roll-on/roll-off procedures daily involving loaded and empty containers.
Drive and operate vehicle under 15 mph in and around the plant and storage lot/staging area.
Be cognizant of the reality that the operation is a low mileage severe duty function requiring particular attention to preventive maintenance checks and services as well as actual scheduled vehicle maintenance.
Moving and spotting trailers from the cooling shed to the receiving line. Move trailers when neededResponsible for keeping the area neat and free of any debris. Other duties as assignedQualificationsTo Perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess superior interpersonal and communication skills. Education and/or ExperienceHigh School Diploma or EquivalentMust have a valid driver license Experience with two way radiosExperience with driving tractor trailers a plus Knowledge/Skills Excellent Communication SkillsKnowledge of tractor trailers Excellent attention to detailSupervisory ResponsibilitiesList the supervisory responsibilities the position must perform; include the department or position titles responsible for and the level of authority exercised in performing the responsibilities.
