Job Overview Join our team as a Local Roll-Off Driver and become a vital part of efficient waste collection and disposal operations. In this energetic role, you will operate specialized roll-off trucks to pick up, transport, and deliver large waste containers across residential and commercial sites. Your expertise will ensure safe, timely, and environmentally responsible waste management services, contributing to residential and commercial customer needs. This position offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your driving skills while supporting vital public services. Duties Safely operate roll-off trucks (hook lift style) Load and unload large waste containers with precision using mechanical knowledge of heavy lifting techniques Drive in compliance with all safety standards, including air brake systems, while maintaining a clean driving record through defensive driving practices Manage waste collection routes efficiently, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries across designated areas Follow hazardous materials regulations when handling special waste types, ensuring safety for yourself and the environment Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to identify maintenance needs or safety issues Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, pickups, and vehicle maintenance records in accordance with company policies Requirements Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving record •Class A or B Proven experience in commercial driving, particularly with roll-off dumpster experience Mechanical knowledge of heavy-duty trucks and roll-off trucks Knowledge of solid waste management procedures and hazardous materials regulations Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when loading or unloading containers Familiarity with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and state transportation laws governing commercial vehicle operation Strong understanding of municipal waste management processes and safety protocols Excellent driving skills with a focus on defensive driving techniques to prevent accidents and ensure safety on the road This role is perfect for motivated drivers eager to bring their skills to a company which values them and their work.
