Duties and Responsibilities Vehicle Operation :
Drive commercial semi-trucks safely across designated routes.
Pre/Post-Trip Inspections :
Inspect the tractor and trailer daily for mechanical defects, tire pressure, and brake functionality.
Cargo Security :
Verify the freight is loaded correctly and secure the trailer doors before transport.
No-Touch Freight Handling :
Manage primarily "no-touch" freight, utilizing drop-and-hook methods where loading/unloading is handled by warehouse staff.
Route Management :
Plan efficient driving paths using GPS navigation tools while adjusting for weather or traffic.
Dispatch Communication :
Maintain regular updates with dispatchers regarding delivery times and delay issues
Job Requirements Licensing :
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A).
Experience :
Minimum of 1 to 2 years of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
Age Requirement :
Must be at least 21 years old to cross state lines.
Medical Certification :
Valid Department of Transportation (DOT) physical medical card.
Background Checks :
Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no recent major traffic violations or DUIs.
Drug Screening :
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and participate in random testing pools. [1, 2, 3]

$0.60 - $0.75 per mile
