Duties Safely operate a 26-foot non-CDL box truck on over-the-road (OTR) routes. Transport freight safely and deliver all loads on time. Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections. Comply with all DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS) requirements. Maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD) and trip documentation. Load, unload, and secure cargo using proper safety procedures. Operate a liftgate and pallet jack when required. Verify Bills of Lading (BOLs), shipping documents, and proof of delivery (POD). Communicate regularly with dispatch regarding load status, delays, and route updates. Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or mechanical issues immediately. Keep the truck clean, organized, and in good working condition. Follow all company safety policies and customer requirements. Plan efficient routes while considering traffic, weather, and delivery schedules. Provide professional and courteous service to customers at pickup and delivery locations. Maintain fuel receipts, toll records, and other required trip expenses. Stay on the road for 2-3 weeks at a time as assigned. Protect company equipment, freight, and confidential business information. Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule. Represent the company professionally at all times while interacting with customers and the public. Experience Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum 2 years of box truck driving experience preferred. Ability to safely operate a 26-foot non-CDL box truck. Knowledge of DOT regulations and Hours of Service (HOS). Ability to plan routes and use GPS/navigation systems. Basic English communication skills (required). Experience with electronic logs (ELD) is a plus. Ability to inspect the vehicle before and after each trip. Experience using a liftgate and pallet jack. Ability to load, secure, and unload freight safely. Strong time management and organizational skills. Dependable, responsible, and self-motivated. Ability to work independently while on the road for 2-3 weeks at a time. Good customer service and professional attitude when interacting with shippers and receivers. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when necessary. Must pass a DOT physical and maintain a valid medical card. $1,000.00 - $1,300.00 per week
