- Hotshot Driver We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Hotshot Driver to join our team and deliver exceptional service across various routes.
As a vital link in our logistics network, you will be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently using a pickup truck and hotshot trailer. Your role is crucial in ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining excellent customer relationships, and upholding safety standards. Responsibilities Safely operate a pickup truck with a hotshot trailer to transport freight on scheduled and on-demand routes. Secure, inspect, and transport loads in compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment and safe lifting techniques. Ensure all deliveries are accurate, complete, and properly documented. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain equipment in safe operating condition. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, brokers, customers, and team members regarding pickup and delivery schedules. Follow all traffic laws, DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company policies. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional vehicle and trailer at all times. Manage route planning, fuel stops, and delivery timelines to maximize efficiency and customer satisfaction. Experience Proven experience as a Hotshot Driver, delivery driver, courier, or commercial driver preferred. Experience operating pickup trucks with trailers, gooseneck trailers, flatbeds, or other towing equipment. Strong understanding of cargo securement procedures and transportation safety requirements. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively while meeting delivery deadlines. Experience with load inspections, trip planning, and transportation documentation. Ability to safely lift, move, and secure freight as required. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL is a plus but not required if operating within legal weight limits.
