A well-established steel company is looking to hire Class A CDL Driver's in the Lakeland, FL area. The driver will be responsible for transporting structural steel to sites locally. This is a great opportunity to be home every night! What Makes the Job Great Excellent Company Culture Advancement opportunities Safety and Attendance Incentives What You'll Be Doing Safely operate a manual transmission flatbed truck to transport construction materials to and from job sites, yards, and vendor locations Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations Secure loads using proper tie-downs, chains, and tarps to prevent shifting or damage during transport Assist with loading and unloading materials using forklifts as required Assist in the construction yard when not driving, including staging materials, inventory management, and general upkeep Maintain accurate delivery logs, timesheets, and material documentation Follow all company safety protocols and participate in regular safety training sessions Who We're Looking For Valid class A CDL required Experience in operating a manual/automatic transmission flatbed freight Forklift experience preffered Capacity to read, write and speak English fluently Ability to Multitask; Well organized Positive attitude and energetic Self-starter and motivated to learn and grow Follows established safety rules and regulations and maintains a safe and clean environment Willingness to work in environments with high temperatures as required Ability to stand/sit or long periods of time and lift heavy construction materials What You Can Expect $23.00
