A Florida-based OTR carrier is hiring CDL-A team drivers for 48-state team operations. Orlando residence is not required. This opening is a strong fit for CDL-A drivers who want to see the country, build experience, and earn strong weekly pay before reaching the two-year experience mark. Team OTR driving is one of the few jobs where a driver can earn serious weekly income, build experience, and see the country at the same time. Many higher-paying team openings require one to two years of experience. Some starter jobs ask newer drivers to accept low pay while they build their record. This carrier considers qualified drivers with 6 months or more of verifiable CDL-A experience and offers pay that is near the top of what is available in that experience range. This is an OTR team position. Existing co-driver teams are welcome. If you do not already have a co-driver, the carrier may be able to match you with one. Responsibilities Safely operate tractor-trailers across long-distance routes, adhering to all federal and state transportation regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks when necessary. Manage a variety of trailer types including refrigerated units, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized freight loads. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company policies. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and route information. Communicate effectively with dispatch to coordinate route schedules and address any issues promptly. Follow route driving plans to optimize delivery times while prioritizing safety and compliance. Qualifications Valid CDL-A license with a minimum of six months of commercial driving experience. Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred but not required. Proven ability to drive tractor-trailers safely over long distances. Familiarity with various trailer types such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. Knowledge of freight handling procedures including securing loads on flatbeds or roll-off trucks. Strong understanding of route planning and adherence to safety regulations.
