- $21-24 PER HOUR Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks, including concrete mixers and dump trucks, adhering strictly to DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety protocols.
Deliver ready mix concrete, asphalt, and other construction materials to various job sites across Orlando efficiently and on schedule. Conduct routine maintenance checks on trucks and paving equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Assist with construction machinery maintenance, including equipment such as loaders, excavators, screeds, and paving machines. Support on-site activities by operating heavy equipment like excavators or loaders when necessary, ensuring smooth paving and concrete finishing operations. Follow all safety regulations related to construction machinery operation, concrete pumping, rebar installation, and site safety protocols. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate delivery schedules and proper handling of materials like bituminous materials and concrete forms. Qualifications Valid CDL B license with at least two years of commercial truck driving experience in ready mix or construction environments. Demonstrated knowledge of construction machinery maintenance, paving equipment operation, and heavy equipment operation. Familiarity with concrete mixing, asphalt paving, concrete finishing, and related civil infrastructure tasks. Strong understanding of safety regulations including DOT standards, safety protocol adherence, and construction site safety practices. Basic math skills for measuring materials and calculating load capacities accurately. Experience working on construction projects involving concrete forming, rebar installation, screeds, or concrete pumping is highly desirable.
