Non-Exempt (Hourly) Reports to: Distribution Manager

GENERAL PURPOSE

This position is responsible for delivering and picking up customer linen in a timely and professional manner within assigned routes utilizing box or trailer trucks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVER A MANUAL

(STICK SHIFT) Operates a company owned delivery vehicle on established or alternate route as scheduled. Delivering carts in the most time-efficient manner and collecting signed delivery tickets. Validates the content of delivery by performing a reconciliation of carts to be delivered to customer and from customer. Performs pre and post truck inspections daily. Maintains the condition of the delivery truck including gas and keeping it clean. Provides reports about any interruptions and other concerns. Ensures compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures. Adheres to all traffic rules and DOT regulations. Must be punctual and stringent about timings and make no delays in deliveries. Must be prepared to work in any traffic pattern, severe weather and strict deadlines according to our business needs. Will provide professional and courteous service to our customers and their staff at all times. Will be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned

QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE ABLE TO DRIVE A MANUAL

(STICK SHIFT) Must have a High School diploma or equivalent. Must have a valid Class A driver's license. Must have 3 or more years related experience. Must have clean driving record. Must be able to pass a drug and background test. Must have excellent customer service skills. Must be able to work independently, be responsible for route, and work unsupervised 90% of the time. Must have a clear understanding of the importance of meeting deadlines and commitments. Must be able to performance basic math operations to include addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. The ability to effectively meet customer needs. Candidates will be subject to all DOT pre-hire requirements
