Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with experience in driving various types of tow trucks, including flatbeds. This role requires excellent customer service skills and the ability to manage conflicts effectively while providing assistance to customers in need. Responsibilities Operate tow trucks safely and efficiently to transport vehicles to designated locations. Perform automotive diagnostics and minor repairs as needed during towing operations. Load and unload vehicles onto the tow truck, ensuring proper securing techniques are used. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding their vehicle issues and towing procedures. Manage conflicts professionally, addressing customer concerns with empathy and understanding. Maintain accurate records of towing activities, including vehicle condition reports and mileage logs. Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations while on the road. Conduct routine inspections of the tow truck to ensure it is in safe operating condition. Qualifications Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL). Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair, including familiarity with manual transmission systems. Proficient in operating various types of tow trucks, including flatbed models. Ability to perform basic automotive diagnostics and troubleshooting effectively. Excellent conflict management skills to handle challenging situations with customers calmly and professionally. Experience operating forklifts is a plus but not mandatory. Strong driving record with a commitment to safety on the road. Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
