Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Box Truck Driver and take charge of delivering freight efficiently and safely across designated routes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to operate various types of trucks, including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and dump trucks. As a vital link in our logistics chain, you will ensure timely delivery, proper load handling, and excellent customer service. Your expertise in commercial driving and route management will help keep our operations running smoothly while providing valuable service to our clients. Responsibilities Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles such as refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks to transport freight to various destinations. Load and unload cargo efficiently using appropriate equipment like forklifts when necessary, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement. Follow assigned routes diligently, adhering to traffic laws and safety regulations to ensure on-time deliveries. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to identify maintenance needs or safety issues before and after each trip. Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs, manifests, and delivery receipts. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues promptly. Assist with warehouse duties when required, including staging freight for pickup or unloading incoming shipments. Skills Proven experience in truck driving with a focus on commercial vehicles such as box trucks or tractor-trailers. Knowledge of different truck types including refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, and roll-off trucks. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently. Familiarity with load securing techniques for freight of various types. Strong route driving skills with an emphasis on efficiency and safety. Experience with freight handling, load & unload procedures, and warehouse operations. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; CDL license preferred but not mandatory depending on vehicle type. Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts when necessary (certification preferred). Embark on a career that drives your passion for transportation forward!
