Job Description

Training Schedule:
Monday through Friday 8 am - 6 pm

Multiple Schedules Open Overview We are seeking a skilled and dependable Tow Truck Operator for night shifts to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely towing and recovering vehicles, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the operational readiness of tow trucks. This role requires a strong understanding of automotive systems, mechanical knowledge, and the ability to handle challenging situations professionally. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities Operate flatbed and other tow trucks safely and efficiently during night shifts. Tow, load, and unload vehicles using appropriate equipment such as flatbeds and forklifts when necessary. Perform basic automotive diagnostics and mechanical assessments to determine the best towing approach. Assist with vehicle recovery operations, including accident scenes or breakdowns, ensuring safety protocols are followed. Maintain detailed records of all towing activities, including vehicle condition and location. Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on tow trucks to ensure optimal performance. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating professionally with clients during stressful situations. Manage conflict or difficult interactions with professionalism and tact. Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of personal protective equipment and adherence to traffic laws. Requirements Valid commercial driver's license with clean driving record. Proven experience operating tow trucks, especially flatbeds; mechanic experience is a plus. Strong mechanical knowledge and automotive diagnostics skills. Ability to operate manual transmissions and perform basic automotive repairs if needed. Experience with automotive repair tools, forklifts, or similar equipment is desirable. Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety during night operations. Ability to load & unload vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Conflict management skills to handle challenging customer interactions professionally. Physical ability to load/unload vehicles and perform manual tasks as required. Prior experience in commercial driving or related fields is preferred.
