In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating a box truck to deliver goods across various routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries while providing exceptional customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate a box truck for long-distance over-the-road deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual lifting techniques, pallet jacks, or forklifts as needed, ensuring proper handling of goods. Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in optimal condition before each route. Deliver products to designated locations on time, verifying delivery accuracy and obtaining necessary signatures or documentation. Provide outstanding customer service by addressing client questions or concerns professionally during delivery interactions. Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel usage, and any incidents encountered during routes. Collaborate with warehouse staff for loading/unloading assistance and ensure proper documentation for all shipments. Experience Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid driver's license suitable for operating box trucks or similar vehicles. Previous delivery driver experience with route driving in diverse environments preferred. Familiarity with warehouse operations, including load & unload procedures, heavy lifting, and moving cargo safely. Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles confidently. Experience with forklift operation and pallet jack handling is a plus but not required; training may be provided. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, moving cargo, and driving long distances.
